COUNTDOWN TO ELECTION DAY

November 8, 2011 is Election Day for Baltimore City. Douglas Armstrong is running for the 14th District City Council seat. There are only two candidates: the incumbent and Douglas Armstrong.

From August 1 to November 8 is Douglas Armstrong’s 100-Day Campaign to win the confidence and support of 14th District voters.

Who is Douglas Armstrong?

Douglas Armstrong grew up in Maryland, graduated from a Howard County public high school in 1974, and has been married for 34 years. He has worked all over the country in film and television production, beginning in Baltimore City with the 1986 filming of The Bedroom Window. He knows and cares deeply for Baltimore, having lived here since 1979 and in his Remington home since 1995. A community activist since 1999, Douglas Armstrong was a founding member of his neighborhood civic association and has served as one of its most active volunteers for more than a decade.

Why is Douglas Armstrong running?

Douglas Armstrong understands that Baltimore’s current political system answers to a select few, places institutions before people, divides rather than unites us, and squanders the City’s greatest asset: our diverse, dedicated, law-abiding citizens who want to live healthy and peaceful lives among their neighbors. These citizens are poorly served by the current political system; principles of justice and democracy are ignored while violence is tolerated.

To change this dynamic, Baltimore needs a fresh start. That’s why the Green Party has entered the race in the 14th District by nominating Douglas Armstrong.

Why the Green Party?

The Green Party is the only party that puts Non-Violence, Justice, Democracy and the Environment first. Douglas Armstrong is proud to be the Green Party nominee.
